This release also improves Full Disk Encryption compatibility, including support for Surface 4 and devices with NVMe storage.

This release includes a number of improvements and bug fixes, including:

We are pleased to announce that DESlock+ is now compatible with Windows 10.

DESlock+ v4.8.1 is now available which adds Pre-boot Authentication Keyboard support for more keyboard layouts. Including Belgian, French Canadian, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Finnish, Irish, Hungarian, Italian, Portuguese, Slovak. If you are using DESlock+ v4.8.0 this is also compatible on Windows 10.

New Features and Improvements

FDE Keyboard Support
Additional keyboard maps are available for use with full disk encryption. New keyboard maps include Dutch, French, German, Polish and Spanish. Please see the change log for exact keyboard map models.

FDE Performance
Improvements have been made to the speed of full disk encrypted systems when starting up or resuming from a hibernated state.

Licences
It is now possible to move licenced users between different licences within the Enterprise Server.

Passwords
A new workstation policy allows Enterprise Server managed users to use their Windows password as the password to login to their key-file. Using this option means the user will not need to enter a password for the key-file during initial activation.

Single Sign On
Improvements have been made to the synchronisation of passwords when using the SSO login type so that less user interaction is required when changing password.

Shredder
The shredder icon will only be present once the user has activated and the option in their policy is enabled to allow shredder actions. This prevents the icon being present unnecessarily when the facility is not available to the user.

UEFI
Improvements have been made to support UEFI systems that do not follow the UEFI specification when booting.

Known issues and restrictions

• Support for Windows 10
  Windows 10 is not currently supported. Work is ongoing to provide full support for this new operating system. More information on Windows 10 compatibility can be found in KB245.
   
• UEFI Requirements
  Systems with UEFI version prior to UEFI v2.3 will only be provided with the US keymap for FDE.
  
  If your system is certified for Windows 8 or Windows 10 then it will meet this requirement.
  
  If you have an existing FDE encrypted system with UEFI prior to v2.3 and you currently use the EN-UK keymap for FDE, after upgrading only the US keymap will be available for FDE and you will need to enter your credentials using the US keymap equivalents.
  
  
• Due to a screen redraw issue with VMware UEFI firmware, resetting a Full Disk Encrypted Windows 8 or 10 UEFI Virtual Machine causes the DESlock+ boot loader to not be displayed. The workaround is to use shut down, instead of restart. Please note this is a VMWare issue which may be corrected in a future release of VMWare.
