Error appears on boot "Selected boot image did not authenticate"
Article ID: KB525 email a link to this article

When the system is booted an error appears which says "ESET Endpoint Encryption selected boot image did not Authenticate. Press <Enter> to Continue" and does not let you boot into Windows.

The system does not contain the correct certificates which ESET Endpoint Encryption needs to work with Safe Start enabled. It will flag ESET Endpoint Encryption as not an authenticated boot image.

The system manufacturer is responsible for including the correct certificates as a part of the UEFI BIOS. Without the correct certificates, Secure Boot will not work with ESET Endpoint Encryption.

To solve this issue, you will need to disable "Secure Boot" in your systems BIOS, after you have done so please save the changes and restart the system. The system will proceed to boot as normal.
