How to fix error: 0xC0130553 in Enterprise Server
Article ID: KB514 email a link to this article

Problem

The error occurs when you are attempting to delete a user from the ESET Endpoint Encryption Server.

Failed to delete : The user cannot be deleted at this time because their licence is still being downloaded. This could be as a result of a licence resync event. (0xC0130553)

Cause

The error 0xC0130553 means the licence has the flag set indicating the licence is being downloaded. You cannot delete the licence whilst it is still being downloaded or is pending download.

Solution

Firstly, go to the ESET Endpoint Encryption Server tasks and make sure there are no Licence Resync tasks currently running. To do this:

  • Select the Organisation: root node of the navigation tree.
  • Select the 'Tasks' tab.
  • Check the list of running tasks.

If the task is still running, wait for it to complete. If the task is not running, then we can try to force a new one and clear the flag as detailed below:

  • Select the 'Licences' panel.
  • Click the 'Details' button.
  • Click the 'Resync' button.
  • Check the box to perform a full resync.
  • Click the 'Close' button to start the task.
  • The new task will be added in the tasks list, wait for this to finish.
  • Attempt the Delete operation again.

If the above steps do not resolve the problem.

  • Select the 'Licences' panel.
  • Click the 'Details' button.
  • Select the 'Tools\Resync Log' menu item.
  • Set the 'Log Period' to 'All Events'.
  • Click the 'Download' button.
  • Save out the generated file and send this to us, also please include a details of the Product ID being used or a screenshot of the licences display in the ESET Endpoint Encryption Server.
