Article ID: KB447 email a link to this article

Problem

When attempting to send a Remote Uninstall command, you see the following error dialog:

DLPCOMM ERROR

ERROR: Cannot perform uninstallation because the DLPCOMM library could not be loaded. (0xC013040F)

Cause

This error occurs when attempting to send a Remote Uninstall command to a Workstation that does not have DESlock+ installed. It can also occur when sending multiple Remote Uninstall commands to the same Workstation.

For example, when sending a Remote Uninstall command (without forcing the Workstation to reboot) to a Workstation, DESlock+ will be uninstalled without any further user interaction. However, on the target Workstation, DESlock+ will continue to run until the Workstation has been rebooted. It will appear as though the software hasn't uninstalled, even though it has. If you send another Remote Uninstall command you will encounter the error message shown above. This message appears because DESlock+ is no longer present on the Workstation as it was removed with the first Remote Uninstall command.

Solution

Simply reboot the client Workstation to complete the uninstall of the software.
